Colleagues,

I am testing this Hyperlink object's NavigateTo method with different file types.

Here's what I get:

1. THISFORM.hypCtrl.NavigateTo("SomeFile.PDF")
- opens this PDF in Adobe Reader.
2. THISFORM.hypCtrl.NavigateTo("SomeFile.TXT")
- opens this file in Notepad editor.
3. THISFORM.hypCtrl.NavigateTo("SomeFile.DOC")
or
THISFORM.hypCtrl.NavigateTo("SomeFile.XLS")
- brings up this "Download file" dialog - ?
4. THISFORM.hypCtrl.NavigateTo("SomeFile.MSG")
that is saved MS Outlook's E-Mail message - opens nothing, neither goes anywhere, jsut like nothing's happened.

Where am I to look to find what settings need to be changed in order to suppress this "Download" dialog for cases 2 and 3, and to force the MS Outlook into opening an MSG file in a separate, message viewing window (like it does when you double-click on an item in the messages' list)?

TIA!

Regards,

Ilya
