> Hello folks,
> I've been trying to learn FoxPro6 for a few months now. I have a few books and bought some CD rom based learning tools as well. But it seems like every time I learn the answer to one question, about 3 more questions arise.
> Anyway my never ending search for FoxPro information has led me here and what I have read so far is excellent. I'll only ask one question at this time and hopefully someday I'll be able to answer more questions than I ask.
> The project I am working on is rather simple. Create a database that stores employee productivity, efficiency, and various other statistics. And design a report section that can be used to analyze this data. So I have created the database and a simple daily view, which I have verified as accurate. But when I created a report using the data in this view I get an error "index tag not found error 1683". The help file is rather vague on this error code. I know it is probably a simple problem but I am stumped. Can anyone give me some ideas on where to look to fix this problem?

Somewhere in your code, you're trying to set a specific order, for example the employee ID or lastname whatever. The name of that order (the tag) does not exist. It is also possible that you specified a non existing order in the Order property of one of the tables in the reports dataenvironment.
