> Hi gurus,
> I created a form with a combo box to select a part ID from a list. Another field on the form contains the price for the selected part. When the part ID is selected from the dropdown, the price syncs to the part ID immediately -- as desired.
> However, the client wants to be able to type the part ID directly into the field as another option. No problem -- except when they do that, the price doesn't update. It only updates when the user clicks on the text box that actually holds the price.
> I tried to force the price field to update by putting a ThisForm.Refresh in the Part ID combo box's InteractiveChange method. When it still didn't sync, I prepended it with another specific line to set the price field's ControlSource to the price field just like it's already set as the default. Of course with this approach, I didn't expect it to work until I finished typing the Part ID because it wouldn't find a complete match. But even then, the price field still only updates by clicking inside of it.
> Can't figure out how to get the cost field to update automatically when typing the part ID instead of choosing the part ID from the dropdown. Guidance appreciated, thanks!

Try putting the refresh code in the combo's Valid.
