I'd take it that way:
If you want to get a writable SQL result cursor, you'd use the ReadWrite clause.
If you want to make sure that the DBF('resultCursor') actually is a temporary file, as opposed to eventually being the From table DBF itself, you'd use the NoFilter clause.
If you want both, you can use both if you find that way more readable. But technically you do not necessarily need a "NoFilter" if there is a "ReadWrite" clause, since VFP would "no(t)filter" in that case anyway.
