> Are you forced to use xls format? With VFP, xl5 has proved to be a better format. Also with Excel 2007 and 2010 you can use xlsx. To read a xlsx file into VFP, you can use Craig Boyd's tool which you find at http://www.sweetpotatosoftware.com/spsblog/2008/09/30/UsingExcel2007FileFormatsInVFP90.aspx.

Tore,
I have had several interfaces with crashed like that, I have, sofar always considered them as the C000005 for Win8/Win8.1 do you think I am wrong here?

Please note I did not have those frequent, always, crash when im- or exporting to/from Excel or other Office files.
