To read a xlsx file into VFP, you can use Craig Boyd's tool which you find at http://www.sweetpotatosoftware.com/spsblog/2008/09/30/UsingExcel2007FileFormatsInVFP90.aspx.

We COPY TO or APPEND FROM everything as TYPE XL5, if it is EXCEL. If someone sends us an EXCEL file from 2010 Excel then we have to take it back down to Excel 95/5.0.

I think I'll take a look at Craig's Boyd's code to be able to USE EXCEL 97-2003 and perhaps even 2010. Anyone know if his code will work for 2010 files also?
