That was essentially what I did. but it didn,t work.
what I've done is to copy the info from table 1 to table 2 and then index table 2 in the order I wanted and then do the report with table 2 and 3. this works fine except for the cosmetics which I would achieve if I had gotten my way. I will look at it again but I you have a solution like that please remember to inform me
