Cripes, what has happened here? The preceding two partials were prematurely sent when I simply used the TAB key to move from the "Subject" field into the MessageText field.

Anyway...

Hello Friends,

One (and only one) of my VFP programs in development does something weird on startup. When I click on the Desktop shortcut, the program starts invisibly, without any taskbar or other indication. It is then, apparently, running in the background as indicated on the Close Programs dialog screen-- and it can also be closed from there.

The desktop icon calls the MAIN.PRG of the project, which is

 SET DEFAULT TO \pers
 DO FORM mailmenu.scx
 DO FORM getdates.scx NOSHOW
 READ EVENTS
 CANCEL

However, if I call the program from a DOS batch file:

[path]\ vfp6 [path+filename]

it starts up normally after briefly showing a DOS prompt.

Otherwise the project runs quite normally from the Project Manager screen. I use this same startup method with other projects and have never had this happen. Have I inadvertently set a switch or property that is doing this?

Thanks.
