'Select * from Mytable' wud be little bit slower, as Server has to perform
certain extra task to get field details of the table.

It wud be better to supply only necessary field names for qry. I wud go like:

'Select Myfield1, MyField2 , Myfield5, MyField9 from MyTable where MyCondtions=?m.lcCondition'

if your Product is a Master table then

'select ProductCode, ProductName from Product where 1=1' wud be better then select *
