Foxpro is a higher level data manipulating language. It is not C. It caches so much that arrays are rarely faster than a cursor. On top of that you must write array manipulation code by hand as there are not that many built in array functions. A single replace or seek on a table, is often way faster. I rarely use arrays and often shudder when I see the things people do with them.
