Mike,

I believe that that sentence is incomplete, it should add "while those computers are connected to the same network" otherwise it will give the false impression that two random computers can not generate the same GUID ever, and I do not think that is true for two computers can have the same MAC address as long as they are not in the same network, having this implications with PKs generated offline, for there is a chance (granted, a very tiny one) of getting two identical PKs
