Graham,

Further to Brad's reply, VFP cannot page eject before it knows how much space your comments field will take up - and it can only figure this out as it prints it. As I see it, you have three options:

1 - you can print the comments field on a new page every time. This is probably not a good solution for you though. If you have a record with an empty comments field you will end up with a blank page printed.

2 - you can print the comments on a new page if there is less than an inch or so left to the page. Do this by creating a group on the record id and then set the print on new page when spinner.

3 - you can forget using the report generator and automate Word. You can then do what ever you want with it - a fair amount of work and for how much benefit? Probably not worth the effort.
