I have a simple report which has no grouping at all and for this question I am only concentrating on one field in the page header and two fields in the details section.

All three fields are to display character data and all three are set to right align that data. Not only that but all three items are right aligned to each other (that is I've used the layout tools to ensure that their right-hand edge are on the same point on the x axis).

When I run the report one of the fields in the details section seems to completely ignore it's right hand boundary. See image:

(I've annotated the image with little red numbers - in the image item 1 is the one field from the page header, items 2, 4 & 6 are from one field in the page details and items 3, 5 & 7 are from the other field in the details section).

Item 1 (in the page header) has it's right edge correctly aligned with the right edge of items 2, 4 & 6.
Items 3, 5 & 7 are completely off, they are going beyond their right-hand edge and when this report is physically printed the printer is chopping the text off. If those items were aligning as they were instructed they would not get truncated.

Has anyone seen this before. Is there a fix to stop fields exceeding their boundaries?
