And even with my previous employer, who was in IT business and had FPD/VFP as its major platform for the last 15 years - even then they never sent anybody to any DevCons, even those close to LA/OC area - stingy bastards!

Well, I wonder myself - how did I manage to survive that wrestling with all those perils on my previous job, 3 month fighting desperation while looking for another job, and then my darling little girl giving birth to her twin little girls, and so on... But manage I did! (I'm patting myself on the shoulder :) )

> Too bad you cannot make it. Oh well, perhaps next year. Give the organizers at SW Fox an email. There are at least a million reasons to send your employees to a devcon - not the least of which is the positive impact it will make on your bottom line. You might not be able to wrangle it for this year, but give it a try for next. (And if you do go to next year's SW Fox, bring your guitar.

We'll see, in a year.

("Positive impact ... on my bottom line"? LOL! My "bottom line" is glued to the chair at work, or to another one in my car, to yet another one at my computer desk at home, and to the sofa at my daughter's with Ally or Bella on my hands every once in a while, he-he! So, my bottom line might've grown pretty wide if I didn't counter it with watching my diet, some gardening, and sorties on the gym twice a week for 2-3 hrs to burn down some excess of lipids accumulated below my breastbone... :) )

Ilya
