Something is wrong with either your coding or your hardware/LAN configuration, I experienced similar situation back in 2003/2004 and remedied all with replacing/optimizing many lines of coding. Some 30 to 50 seconds processes cut down to half to blazing split seconds.
But for sure it is hard to guess where you went wrong without you probably upload portion of your project/forms and data for our perusal and direct testing.
