Hi Mandeep

> I have a form that runs on a table of 170,000 records approx. and is shared by many users. The form has grid displaying these data with filter option. When open by many users, the grid becomes very slow, filters are applied very very slow. How do I manage speed for this particular case. Can anyone help me?

The problem is that filters are not optimizable in grids in VFP 8. If you do not want to change this methodology you have to upgrade to VFP 9.0 because in this version Rushmore Optimization has been extended to handle grids too - so this issue goes away.

However, I agree with Erik here, a better solution would be to use some sort of parameterized view for your grids - it is not only more efficient, but will work in any version of VFP whereas the filter option really only works in VFP 9.0
