Hard to tell without seeing the code. As Marcia is fond of saying "My crystal ball is not working."

You could be right about the size of the memo. VFP character fields can only be 255 bytes. You could try storing SUBSTR(cMyMemoData,1,255) but then you would probably loose some data. Why not use a memo field?
