there seems to be no problem man.

if the character that you were talking about was stored successfully, how much more those encrypted chars
you wanna save.

however, in DBF ... you just got 254 for chars in length.

do this:

1. create a table with 1 field / datatype is char n length 254
2. try this code:

mylongstr = ''
for ictr = 0 to 255
  mylongstr = mylongstr + chr(ictr)
endfor

select MYTABLE
replace MYTABLE.MYCHAR with mylongstr
