Exactly, you can use it in your Vfp code, for instance while evaluating content of an SPT/RemoteView/CursorAdapter alias, coming from Microsoft "SQL Server", Oracle, or a FoxPro table column allowing Null values, or any Outer Join SQL result.

If you are looking for T-SQL syntax, see isNull() in BOL.
ANSI standard "... WHERE theField IS NULL" would work in MS SqlServer, too.
