Moving your VFP app to the web not only opens new business opportunity (mobility, cloud, SaaS and more), but conceals your VFP code base behind a web server and gives you an extra 10 years whenever (it'll never happen but you still seem to believe that) a new version of Windows would no longer run our beloved VFP code.

Many VFP-to-Web solutions are around (AVFP, WW WC, ...), where you need to somehow code your Web app in VFP.
FoxInCloud adapts your existing VFP application to the Web with less than 2% code rework.

>
> Look, put simply MS will not scuttle VFP. They will maintain shared libraries for as long as anything they're supporting uses those libraries.
>
> The problem is the VFP core -- at some stage... 1 week, 1 year or 1 decade --- it will need some work on it to make it run better, talk with new hardware and/or patch a security issue.
>
> If MS is not providing these fixes and the community is unable to then VFP becomes a little less reliable, a little less usable and/or a risk to use. Add one, two, ... of these little problems and you have a big problem.
>
> I hope... really hope... that the core is released to the public; so VFP lives on... maintained by the community but, as I have already stated, I can't see why MS would want to do this.
