> > Dear Sir, with reference to my question, you replied me to test two browse windows using the nowait clause. This is not working in vfp6. Whenever we move from one browse window to the next , the first becomes closed. I want to open two databases browse window at a time in a program (and not in the command window - where it is possible).

Hi,

Well it it possible to use two grids visible at the same time and i assume that you wish do do this from a PRG. Else use a grid as advised above or as I found, a browse in a page of a pageframe works well with minimal code.

To tackle the PRG option
1. define two windows
2. two procedures
2.1 each with a do while vact# = 1.... enddo
2.2 activate window#
2.3 browse in window#
2.3 on key lables esc,ctrl+end, vact# = 0 && terminates do while..
2.4 deactiavte window#

and the last trick is to call first precedure and from within that procedure and within the do while, call the second procedure. However you only want to do this once so if vcall = 0 do proc2 and vcall = 1, to switch it off, during the do while loop.

Both windows will be active and stay visible untile vcat1 and vcat2 are set to = 0

This has been dug out the back of my mind as it was a long time ago. I used it to show three browse windows at the same time

HTH and feel free to email me for more help if you need it

Regards
Ryss
