> Hi Experts!
> I would like to know whether we can admit user sessions for a VFP application?
> The scenario I look forward is that the application should shut down during outage time say after 6pm every day. Because there are certain batch job that runs behind after this time which is seemed to be failed due to some users are leaving the shared application without proper exit. Batch jobs copy the refreshed production data tables to a specific directory for further use during night time.
> I don't want any user to access the system during this time or if any users forgot to exit from the application it should forcely disconnect the session.
> Can anyone suggest a good idea to overcome this? I would appreciate your immediate response on this. Thanks in advance!

There are a lot of greate little functions that you can find in the Foxite FAQ, Articles and Downloads pages. For example, this one https://www.foxite.com/articles/read.aspx?id=16&document=remote-shutdown-of-applications shows how you can remotely shut down your user's applications.
