Rather belatedly, sorry, but still: Merry Christmas to you and family too

David

Despite what you know about this country "being a Muslim country" (which is incorrect, because ideologically and by Constitution it really is NOT) you'd be surprised to find that shops here in the capital city of Jakarta and most other big cities would take advantage of the "merry-looking" Christmas decorations to make their shops look prettier. There're years that the Jakarta municipal administration spent big amount of money on Christmas decorations at the city center points (although - yes true - one may think there's some political agenda behind it - hehehe).

> That's very interesting. &nbap; I guess reading Wikipedia won't get you very far in understanding the world :- )   But here in Foxite, we've got our own global village.   My business could take me back to Asia for a conference in the next couple years so I look forward to getting acquainted with Asia again.   I guess the last time I visited was 5 years ago when Huawei invited some telecom industry analysts to their center in Shenzhen, China for 3 days.   But I stay connected with Japan at least.   My wife being Japanese, we get the Japanese TV programming by satellite.   I love it.   Watch more of that than American TV actually, but I never learned the Japanese language.   Merry Christmas to you and your family, David.
