You can have a form that is based on a visual class with a number of controls in the visual class and controls based on other classes that are added directly to the form. At the same time you can edit the form, the visual class of the form, the controls in the visual class and the controls based on other classes all together (each in its own separate instance of the editors).

For this I have Bernard to thank as I use his light-shield class. The child forms are modal to each unique editor instance and not to VFP. This allows you to open a semi-modal form in the editor but switch to VFP design-time and perform another function and then switch back to the editor and continue with the semi-modal form.

Hi Greg

Sounds interesting. I always thought the tools should allow multiple-developers, but should do it by forcing a decomposition. If you want to refine the spark plug, while I'm refining the piston, that's fine, but to try to have us both work in the same engine bay at the same time is impractical. :) Not a problem if you work on the spark plug blue print, while I work on the piston blueprint.

We have enough youth. We need a fountain of smart!
There may be many ways to skin a cat, but there are very few right ways to do it.
