I have a system where a win2k professional machine was a file server on which all the dbf files resided. That machine died and was replaced with a win7 professional machine. The old machine was an 800 mhz p6 and this one is a 3.4 Ghz machine. the workstation accessing this peer server are a mixture of win2k, xp, vista and win7 machines (total of 15). No changes have been made to the program just all files where copied from a backup to the new win7 machine.

Problem is now that an Select SQL statement that took 10 seconds when running it on a WS accessing the old win2k peer to peer server will now take 85 seconds with the win7 professional machine running as a peer to peer server.

Running the query on the win7 machine itself goes lightning fast. So there has to be a problem with the networking and VFP in regards to win7. Regular networking like copying a file from one machine to another performs as expected.

Any ideas?
