That depends on how you adress fields in general. It seems
you work with the pure field names most of the time.

In the naming convention used in a database I recently
work on, every table has a primary key field type uniqueid
called GUID. if I would not qualify this by an alias name
in front of GUID it would still work to get the guid of the
active record of the active workarea.

I'd say it's riskier to address fields without alias and get
a mismatch of fetching a value from an unexpected workarea
than it is to collide with a variable named the same as a
workarea alias.

Even if you have a table called loproduct and a variable
called loproduct, you can select from the table into a cursor
with different alias and prevent name collisions.

Bye, Olaf.
