Tony,

I wonder how much time is wasted searching for things in our
work life.   I suspect more time than we imagine.

Plus, your workflow is often broken when you either can't find
something or get frustrated accessing it by clicking several times etc.

In fact, it might be interesting to have VFP track how much time you
spend in Windows Explorer and other search locations.

That's why I think your FileViewer is a powerful concept.

Here's an example I just thought of.   Let's say you are keeping
track of current and prospective client companies in your folders.

Well, number one, you can automatically generate a proposal folder for each
client.  This not only allows you to quickly locate proposals sent to a client,
you can also have the system periodically collect ( in the background )
all the proposals from all your clients and store a copy in a "Proposals" folder.

Or better yet, you have "virtual folders" that keep track of your proposals so
you're not worried about synchronizing copies of the same thing.

BTW, this is something lacking from software vendors like Microsoft.

They will explain how to technically organize folders, files, photos, etc.
But they don't provide further ideas on the process of
organizing files and folders.

So perhaps this is another opportunity for the Foxite community to deliver
solutions and training.   Desktop computing is not going away any
day soon and using Windows Explorer out-of-the-box probably delivers maybe 30%
of the productivity you could gain by having a FileViewer and related
automation.

Wonder how many busy executives and salespeople out there would pay to
have productivity tools tailored to their needs.   This may be
a better market for VFP solutions because you are not selling to an IT
department, but to highly paid individual who realizes that saving time
represents greater income for her.
