VFP is a 32 bit application. It can only connect to 32 bit ODBC drivers. So you need to install the 32 bit version of the driver.

When you run the normal ODBC Administrator from the control panel, it runs the 64 bit version that does not list the 32 bit drivers installed on the machine.

To create 32 bit DNS, you have to run the 32 bit ODBC administrator tool. This is the odbcad32.exe file found at %systemdrive%\Windows\SysWoW64.

Sir my problem is a bit related to this issue, Im trying to connect to an Oracle 10g database, the ODBC confirms that I am connected in the database, when I execute sqkconnect() in VF I got a positive number meaning I am connected in the database, but thats all I can do, I cannot open any tables in the database, it says files doesn;t exist. It will be highly appreciated if you can tell me the work around, I am relatively new in Visual Foxpro, currently experimenting version 9. Sorry also I don't if this is the right place to ask questions.

Thanks

Henry

With Windows 7 64-bit no problem.
I have a PC with Windows 8 64-bit on the ODBC, does not show the driver VFP9.
To take into account, using SysWOW64 \ odbcad32.exe not work.
Does anyone know how to solve?
Please, i need help !!!!!

radha. You should ask this in the forum and not in the articles. You will get a better response. You can find the forum at http://www.foxite.com/forum/

Hello Tushar Kanvinde,

I see that you have a question in 2012 about ODBC.
So, I have a similar question about ODBC.
Where can I change the ODBC credinteials in the FoxPro documents?
